I am interested in discovering which platform is best for hosting your new blog.

And the question I am asking - is which platform gets ranked fastest, and which gives the highest position

 So I targetted a phrase found with google trends: and prepared a tumblr and blogspot for comparison.

 The result was fascinating

Both sites took around 20 hours to get ranked.

But with very similar content tumblr ranked 4/5 where blogspot only managed a miserable 30th.

Sad to say that tumblr has now slapped many of the thirtyday challenge blogs including this one1
