Brett Mcfall
Brett started as a sales copywriter – although had little going for him when he landed his first job in advertising. Somewhere along the way he had actually failed English.
He moved on from selling electronics – (how many ways can you say this is a great LED in a catalogue?) to working in a more general agency, and from what I remember actually managed to get sacked along the way – dint of having too many different types of client who all wanted opposite ways doing things – which gave him the opportunity to sell himself as a freelance copywriter ,and it was in that caulrdron he discovered the keys.
I love Brett’s style as a copywriter – it has a silky smooth conversational flow which ( I think) is far better suited to UK ears than the more brash American style copy. Sadly he no longer writes copy for others.
Fast forward , Brett began to experiment with Direct Mail advertising of his own advertising newsletter – the editions of that newsletter became his course on secrets of advertising.
He also discovered the key elements of offers – and one element of those ( I wont steal his thunder by revealing it here) became the reason he became able to charge even $tens of thousands for copywriting.
Even Today brett’s copy and advertising training courses are still as good as there are although his interests have moved on.
Bretts copywriting system – Burpies by Brett is well worth considering as a means to write information product sales letters, and contains the essential ingredients of how to sell anything else!
Well worth the money for new information marketers… get it here
Clearly direct marketing of information , is a better way to create automatic income streams – and experience in that arena, and some success in online ventures ultimately led to the creation of World Internet Summit – which will be the feature of other posts.
Brett Mcfall ultimately documented his own system for creating information products – quite unlike anything else on the market in his book “how to make money whilst you sleep” – well worth looking at as a newcomer.
