Every once in a while I re-read the best om my marketing and copy books - the cream of the cream
By kennedy,abraham, sugarman,nicholas - and all the old favourites like collier,hopkins and caples.
So then I got round to read “ogilvy on advertising” - my old copy was ruined by too much abuse so I ordered a new one from amazon.
And then I saw it.
On the back page - a quotation from a marketing consultant “Steve Gibson of Steve Gibson Consulting” - so there must now be tens of thousands of tha book in circulation carryng steves name and company.
How did it get there? Easy! Steve wrote an amazon book review for that book and the publisher saw it when they came to reprint. So there is another reason for reviewing products , and wrting an amazon book review
